Derek set up Alexanders over 30 years ago. It’s thanks to his hard work and knowledge that the business stands so strong. It’s surprising how much Derek knows.

He’s an infinite source of Estate Agency information. Derek is the key partner at Alexanders, following and investing in new resources and consulting with various clients regarding commercial premises, overseas, and property development projects.

Layla joined our company as a trainee over 18 years ago and has worked her way through the ranks, now being responsible for running the lettings, new homes, and sales departments. She grew up locally and has established a range of professional contacts in the area.

Working initially in the sales department, she moved on to run a successful new homes department and then progressed on to the challenging world of residential lettings. She is known for her honest valuations and advice. Layla undertakes most of our lettings valuations and is always available for advice on all aspects of the property industry. She enjoys running with her dog, Marley, cooking, maintaining her luscious herb garden, and looking after her beautiful children, Liberty, Rayna, and River.

Having previously worked in tourism, hospitality, and HR, Kat’s varied skills make her a valuable asset here at Alexanders. She loves a challenge, and she never quits when she has tough new work thrown her way. With heaps of passion and patience, she encourages the team to be the best they can be and develop their skills to the fullest. Originally from Sweden, Katarina now lives in our local town, Aberystwyth. When she’s not working, Katarina enjoys spending time with her family and pets.
