Council Tax

Landlords are responsible for council tax during void periods (time when a property is not tenanted), but may be exempt if the property is empty and unfurnished. There are extensive guidelines on discounts and exemptions for our area on the Ceredigion website.

Tenants are responsible for council tax during the period of their tenancy. If you are a student you may be exempt from council tax, however there are rules for multiple occupancy properties housing both students and professionals. To find out more, please visit Ceredigion.gov
